Jurgen Klopp’s impact at Liverpool shouldn’t be judged until the start of next season, according to Manchester United legend Andy Cole.

The Reds slumped to a third defeat in four Premier League games on the road after a resounding 2-0 loss to West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool have dropped to eighth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Arsenal following their defeat by the Hammers.

Klopp has only managed to win five of his 12 Premier League games in charge of Liverpool after he replaced Brendan Rodgers in the Anfield hot seat in October.

Former United striker Cole says he is a big fan of the former Borussia Dortmund manager and is confident the Dutchman will prove a big hit at the Merseyside club.

“It’s tough for Klopp,” Cole told Sky Sports.

“He’s working with players he’s inherited. You should start judging Klopp next season when he has bought players in the summer.

“He will be very good for Liverpool. He is a breath of fresh air. He is very honest. I think he will do very well in the Premier League.”
