Andy Gray is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to edge to a narrow 1-0 victory over Leicester City at White Hart Lane in Sunday’s FA Cup third-round clash.

Tottenham have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams this season and have only suffered two defeats in the English top flight in 20 games.

Spurs kicked off 2016 with a battling 1-1 draw at Everton as they came from a goal down to earn a point at Goodison Park last weekend.

Leicester, meanwhile, have been one of the Premier League’s surprise packages this season and are currently in second place in the table, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.

Former Everton man Gray is expecting a tight encounter between the two sides but believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are likely to have the edge in north London.

Gray wrote in his blog for Paddy Power: “Leicester have gone off the boil slightly, and this is very tricky for them.

“Pochettino is the new Tinkerman, he makes a lot in the Europa League. Ranieri has nothing to focus on bar this and league games.

“If Tottenham put out a strong side, they’ll win. [I’m saying] Spurs to win 1-0.”
