Spurs have been one of the Premier League’s most consistent teams so far this season and have only lost two games in the top flight to leave them in fourth place in the table.
Leicester, meanwhile, have been one of the surprise packages of the campaign, with Claudio Ranieri’s men currently flying high in second place in the Premier League table.
Despite the Foxes’ recent good form, former Arsenal man Nicholas is tipping Spurs to have the edge over the visitors at White Hart Lane on Sunday and is backing the Lilywhites to book their place in the fourth round of the competition.
Nicholas told Sky Sports: “What a cracker and it’s simply a case of who wants to win it most.
“What Mauricio Pochettino is doing at Tottenham is remarkable and that’s coming from an ex-Gunner. Can he afford to leave Harry Kane out for this one?
“It will be a big test for their centre-backs but with no Jamie Vardy that should make it a bit easier for them, he’s a big miss. I think there will be plenty of goals in this but I’m going for Spurs to edge it.”
Tottenham, who finished fifth last season, are aiming to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
