The Blues head into the FA Cup third-round clash after having kicked off 2016 with an impressive 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace last weekend as the west London side produced a much-improved performance at Selhurst Park.
Chelsea won the FA Cup last time Hiddink was in charge at the club back in the 2008-09 season and will be keen to kick off their campaign in positive fashion in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
And former Arsenal man Nicholas is not envisaging any problems for the west London side, predicting a 4-0 victory for the Blues in west London.
Nicholas told Sky Sports: “This is a good game for Chelsea. They were impressive against Palace last week and seem to be playing more as a team now under Hiddink.
“I feel they are a much better side with Fabregas pushed much further forward linking with Costa. He’s got such a good range of passes and this should be straightforward for Chelsea.”
Chelsea, who won the Premier League and League Cup last season, are languishing in 14th place in the top flight table after a disastrous start to their title defence.
