The Spurs striker led the north London side out as goals from Nacer Chadli, Eric Dier and Tom Carroll helped the Lilywhites book their place in the fifth round of the competition.
Kane, who has been one of Tottenham’s top performers this season, was unable to find the net and was substituted in the 67th minute.
However, the forward was clearly thrilled to be handed the Spurs armband in the absence of skipper Hugo Lloris and vice-captain Jan Vertonghen.
Kane posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday afternoon and wrote: “Always an honour to captain the side. Did the job today – looking forward to the 5th round draw! #coys #facup”
The north London side now turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their trip to Norwich City on Tuesday night.
Spurs are currently fourth in the table and three points behind leaders Leicester City.
