Harry Kane scored his 12th Premier League goal of the season to seal three points, and former Spurs manager Redknapp was full of praise for Tottenham’s resilience after a tough first half.
“It was a difficult first half for them,” Redknapp told BT Sport.
“Sunderland got bodies behind the ball and frustrated Tottenham. In the end, Spurs found a way and that’s what you have to do on difficult days.
“Four goals at home is a great result.”
Tottenham are four points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal ahead of the Gunners’s clash against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in Sunday’s late kick-off.
