Ian Wright says Joel Campbell is ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott in the Arsenal pecking order.

The Costa Rica international has established himself as a first-team regular over the past few months after he benefitted from the injury crisis at The Emirates.

Campbell has scored two goals and has made one assist in 12 Premier League appearances so far for Arsenal in his breakthrough season at the Emirates Stadium.

Former Arsenal striker Wright explained why he is a huge fan of the Costa Rican forward following a series of impressive performances for Arsene Wenger’s side.

“I like Campbell now. Campbell is slowly turning into one of my favourites as well now,” Wright told BBC Sport.

“He has a lot of quality on the ball, but his endeavour and work rate is great. He has put himself in the team ahead of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott.

“Theo and the Ox will fight over the last spot.”

Arsenal played out a goalless draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League in Sunday’s late kick-off.

Wenger’s men hoisted themselves above Leicester City and to the top of the Premier League table on goal difference thanks to their win.
