Jurgen Klopp has played down the chances of Liverpool making any late January signings before Monday’s deadline.

The German coach watched his side play out a goalless draw with West Ham United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening to force a replay in London next month.

Liverpool have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks, and are reported to have had a bid rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk for attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira.

Klopp was asked about any potential transfer dealings that could be done after the final whistle on Merseyside on Saturday evening.

But the former Borussia Dortmund boss gave little away in his post-match interview with BT Sport.

Klopp first joked: “We’ll buy a [whole] team for West Ham for the rematch!”

He then continued: “We will see what happens. We have to wait another 48 hours, something like this, so we have to wait.”
