Manchester United have tabled a £37.6m bid to sign Felipe Anderson from Lazio, according to reports.

Louis van Gaal is thought to be on the lookout to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford as he looks to improve his side’s stuttering form in the second half of the season.

United have long been linked with swoop for Brazilian winger Anderson, and it now appears that the Red Devils are closing in on securing a deal to sign their transfer target.

The Premier League outfit have put together a deal that would hand Lazio £30m up front and a further £7.6m in add-ons, according to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 22-year-old Anderson has scored five goals and made one assist in 19 Serie A games for Lazio so far this season.

United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Anderson and were last month reported to be considering a £45m swoop for the player by The Sun.
