The Reds head into the tie looking fresh from booking their place in the final of the League Cup thanks to a penalty shootout win over Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have struggled to find consistent form since the German was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October.
Liverpool were 5-4 winners over Norwich City in the Premier League last weekend but have suffered defeats against the likes of Watford and West Ham United in recent weeks.
And former Liverpool striker Owen is expecting an entertaining affair when the Reds host the Hammers on Saturday.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Having already reached Wembley in the Capital One Cup will Jurgen Klopp keep the same squad that beat Exeter in round three or will he bring back some of his more established first-teamers against the Hammers?
“The Irons have already won at Anfield in the Premier League this season but that was in the Brendan Rodgers’ era and this promises to be a fascinating tie.”
Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League table, two points behind West Ham in sixth place.
