Michael Owen is not expecting much entertainment when Liverpool host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Both sides head into the game in stuttering form after struggling to produce consistent performances in recent weeks.

Liverpool netted a late equaliser as they came from behind to secure a point from a thrilling 3-3 draw with Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday night.

United also played out a 3-3 draw in midweek as they twice squandered the lead against Newcastle at St James’ Park.

Despite Sunday’s opponents having scored six goals in their most recent two games, former England international Owen not expecting to see a high-scoring affair at Anfield this weekend, and is tipping a 0-0 draw as the most likely result.

Owen wrote on his column for Bet Victor: “The Reds left it late to nick a share of the spoils against Arsenal midweek with manager Jurgen Klopp rubbing yet another Premier League manager up the wrong way on the Anfield touchline.

“It will be fascinating to witness how he handles the emotions of United’s visit to Merseyside on Sunday in one of the fiercest derbies in club football and Bet Victor’s 7/2 for a player to be shown a red card is sure to be popular amongst punters.

“Both sides played out 3-3 draws midweek, Liverpool drawing with Arsenal at Anfield and the Red Devils with Newcastle at St James’ Park and that correct score is 90/1 with BetVictor to follow-up on Sunday.

“It will realistically be a lot tighter on Sunday with both Liverpool and Manchester United expected to be set-up defensively and well-organised at the back. It would be no surprise to see either side nick it by the solitary goal in a game where goals are likely to be at a premium.”
