Anthony Martial is all smiles with his wife Samantha after he helped Manchester United beat Liverpool on Sunday

Anthony Martial has taken to social media to share a picture of himself with his wife Samantha as he enjoyed a day off following Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday.

The France international played the full 90 minutes as Louis van Gaal’s men snatched a victory at Anfield thanks to Wayne Rooney’s late goal on Merseyside.

The win lifted United up to fifth place in the table and two points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur heading into next weekend’s game against Southampton.

Martial posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Monday evening and wrote: “Hihi @samantha_martial”

Martial has been a regular fixture in the United first team this season since arriving at the Old Trafford outfit from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has scored five goals and made two assists for the Red Devils in 17 top-flight games so far this term.

He also scored twice in the Champions League before they were knocked out in the group stage.
