Francis Coquelin looks to be closing in on a return to action for Arsenal as the Gunners continued their preparations for this weekend’s FA Cup clash with Burnley.

The French midfielder has been out with a knee injury but is edging closer towards a return.

Arsene Wenger’s men were put through their paces at their London Colney training base on Wednesday morning as they look to put the disappointment of last weekend’s loss to Chelsea behind them.

One of the few positives to come from Sunday’s 1-0 loss to the Blues was the return to action of Alexis Sanchez, who was a second-half substitute at Emirates Stadium.

Sanchez was among the players pictured in action on Wednesday as Arsenal prepare for their FA Cup fourth-round clash.

Mesut Ozil and Mathieu Flamini were also snapped during the training session.
