Photos: Firmino and Flanagan train with Liverpool squad ahead of Norwich clash

Roberto Firmino and Jon Flanaga are put through their paces with their Liverpool team-mates ahead of Saturday's Norwich clash

Jon Flanagan was all smiles as he trained with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of their trip to Norwich City in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off at Carrow Road.

The 23-year-old made his successful return from a knee injury on Wednesday night as the full-back came on as a second-half substitute in their 3-0 FA Cup third-round victory over Exeter City.

Flanagan completed 39 minutes of the cup clash ahead of Liverpool’s trip to the Canaries on Saturday as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to record their first Premier League win of 2016.

Liverpool signing Roberto Firmino, meanwhile, was getting to grips with his new Adidas laceless football boots before putting them into competitive action against the Canaries.

The Brazilian, who moved to Anfield in a £29m deal from Hoffenheim in the summer, scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League last week.

The Reds have lost three of their last four away games in the English top-flight following defeats by Newcastle United, Watford and West Ham United.

But Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looked in high spirits as his squad trained at Melwood in some rare Merseyside sunshine ahead of their Saturday game.
