Ticket prices exceed £11,000 for golden anniversary of the Super Bowl

Viagogo has seen tickets for the Super Bowl being offered by sellers for as high as £11,000 on its website

As the Denver Broncos get ready to take on the Carolina Panthers next weekend at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on 7 February, Viagogo has seen tickets for the Super Bowl being offered by sellers for as high as £11,000 on its site.

According to data from the website, the highest priced ticket actually sold has been for just over £4,000 each for four tickets ($6,000 per ticket), with fans desperate to be at the NFL’s golden anniversary.

A spokesperson for viagogo commented: “Every year we see an unprecedented surge in demand for the Super Bowl, with fans from all over the world travelling to see the highly popular, televised event.

“With Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars all expected to take to the stage for the halftime show, demand has been higher than ever for the 50th anniversary, in what has now become a global sporting phenomenon.”
