Andy Cole looks ahead to Manchester United's FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury Town on Monday

Andy Cole is expecting an entertaining game when Manchester United travel to Shrewsbury in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday night.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 2-1 defeat by Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Louis van Gaal’s side slumped to a 2-1 loss to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last weekend and will be keen to get back on track by booking their place in the sixth round of the FA Cup.

Cole has been impressed by what he has seen from Shrewsbury this season and is expecting Monday’s cup tie to be an entertaining game.

Speaking to United’s website, Cole said: “No doubt they were all buzzing when they got drawn out of the hat at home to Manchester United. What more can you ask for? Every player will be giving 110 per cent, for sure, as they are going to want to try to upset United in the FA Cup.

“I think it’ll be a really good game and the good thing for them is I’ve seen a few teams in League One but they don’t just lump it forward. They do try to play and it’s refreshing to see that style in League One.”

Cole added: “I watched them a few weeks ago, obviously when they played against Fleetwood. They were tough conditions and it was a very windy day. To be fair, Shrewsbury tried to get it down to play.”
