The Lilywhites underlined their Premier League title credentials with an impressive 2-1 win at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon to move to within two points of leaders Leicester City with 12 games left to play.
Spurs have been in fine form all season and have now win five Premier League games on the trot.
Arsenal, meanwhile, kept themselves in the hunt for the title with a 2-1 win over Leicester City at The Emirates on Sunday.
And former Arsenal star McLintock admits that this is one of the tightest title races he can remember.
Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday, ex-Gunner McLintock said: “It’s almost impossible to call this one [the title race].
“It was a very, very important win for Arsenal against Leicester, but they’ve got some tough teams still to play and Tottenham could be their toughest.
“This is the best Tottenham team I’ve seen for quite some time. They played terrific against Manchester City and got a good win.
“It could still be Leicester. If they don’t get any big injuries they could still do it!”
Arsenal’s next Premier League game is a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday 28 February, while Tottenham host Swansea at White Hart Lane on the same day.
