Gabriel Paulista has issued a rallying cry to his Arsenal team-mates ahead of Tuesday night’s clash against Barcelona.

The Brazil international is set to miss the first leg of the last-16 tie due to a hamstring injury which the 25-year-old sustained during Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Leicester City earlier this month.

Arsenal are aiming to beat Barcelona for just the second time in 10 attempts in the Champions League, as well as reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2010.

Gabriel sent a message to his Arsenal team-mates and Gunners supporters on his Instagram page ahead of Tuesday night’s game.

Gabriel wrote on his Instagram page: “#comeonArsenal #BigGame #Gunners”

The Brazilian is set to be replaced in the Arsenal first-team by Per Mertesacker for the visit of the Champions League holders.
