Cesc Fabregas snaps a selfie on the way back to London after helping Chelsea beat Southampton on Saturday

Cesc Fabregas looked to be in good spirits as he posed for a picture with Cesar Azpilicueta on the Chelsea team bus after Saturday’s 2-1 win at Southampton.

Chelsea fell behind at St Mary’s when Shane Long headed the home side in front in the 42nd minute.

However, the Blues battled back after half-time and Fabregas drew the west London side level in the 75th minute when the Spaniard’s cross crept in.

Chelsea finished the game strongly and Branislav Ivanovic headed home in the 89th minute to secure the three points for Guus Hiddink’s men and move them up to 11th place in the table.

Fabregas posted the picture above on his personal Snapchat account on Saturday evening and wrote: “Nearly home.”

Chelsea will now turn their attentions to their Premier League trip to Norwich City on Tuesday night.

The Blues then take on Stoke at Stamford Bridge in the top flight next weekend.
