Danny Ings appears to be closing in on a return from injury after the Liverpool striker posted a video charting his road to rehabilitation on Sunday.

The 23-year-old striker suffered a serious knee injury in training following the Merseyside derby after impressing in the Liverpool first-team.

Ings hasn’t featured under Jurgen Klopp since the former Borussia Dortmund manager took over from Brendan Rodgers in October.

However, the Reds forward was reported to be running in training last week as the former Bournemouth and Burnley striker works on his recovery.

Ings posted a video of his road to recovery set to some inspirational music in an apparent hint that the England Under-21 international could be nearing a return.

Ings moved to Liverpool from Burnley last summer after an impressive first season in the Premier League.
