Dietmar Hamann has urged Liverpool to take their Europa League last-32 clash against Augsburg seriously.

The Reds face the Bungesliga side in Germany on Thursday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to build on their 6-0 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool already have a League Cup final to look forward to on 28 February when the Reds take on Manchester City to win the first silverware of the 2015/16 season.

Former Liverpool midfielder Hamann, who won the Champions League, Uefa Cup, the FA Cup twice and the League Cup twice during his Anfield career, is hoping Klopp plays a full-strength side for the first leg at Augsburg.

Augsburg take on Liverpool in their most prestigious Europa League game to date, with Klopp returning to his native Germany for an 11th encounter with the Fuggerstädter.
