Glenn Hoddle praised Tottenham for a “fabulous” win over Manchester City on Sunday but warned Spurs that there is still plenty of work to do in the title race.

Spurs were in impressive form as they beat Manuel Pellegrini’s men in front of their own fans to further underline their status as genuine Premier League title contenders.

Harry Kane gave the Lilywhites the lead from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute after Raheem Sterling was penalised for handball by referee Mark Clattenburg.

Kelechi Iheanacho equalised for City in the 74th minute, but the Lilywhites earned a fifth league win in a row after Christian Eriksen slotted in seven minutes from full time.

Hoddle was impressed by Spurs’ display but urged Mauricio Pochettino’s men to maintain their focus as the Premier League title race hots up.
