Guillem Balague has suggested that Mauricio Pochettino would be capable of being a success at Manchester United should he be appointed as the club’s next manager.

There has been plenty of speculation about current boss Louis van Gaal’s future in recent weeks following United’s stuttering form.

Tottenham boss Pochettino has been touted as a possible successor for Van Gaal should United opt to part company with the Dutchman at the end of the season.

There have inevitably been questions about whether Pochettino would be a success should he take over at Old Trafford.

However, Spanish football expert Balague used his Twitter account to make a point about Pochettino’s record against incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Balague tweeted:

Jose Mourinho has also been touted as a possible successor for Van Gaal at United in recent days.
