The playmaker has struggled to find consistent form this season like many of his team-mates, and has been dogged by a string of injuries in recent weeks.
However, Hazard played the full 90 minutes as Chelsea ran riot in the Premier League and sealed a 5-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.
And Hiddink feels that the 25-year-old is well on his way to rediscovering his best form for the west London side.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, Hiddink said: “I think he had a difficult period when he had some injuries, we started to bring him back and his first game at Crystal Palace he got another injury.
“If a player gets a setback twice, it’s difficult to come back. But now, in recent weeks, he’s trained very well.
“He came on for 10 minutes and 20 minutes, and played the last match in full.
“He needs rhythm of the games, but I’m sure he’ll be of great value for us.”
Hazard was in the headlines on Monday morning after sparking fresh speculation about his future by admitting that he would struggle to turn down a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Lille star has only scored one goal for Chelsea so far this season.
