Danny Webber is backing Harry Kane to fire Tottenham Hotspur to their first Premier League title.

The England international scored the opener in the north London side’s 2-1 victory over title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

Kane has scored 16 of Tottenham’s 47 Premier League goals as Spurs moved to within two points of leaders Leicester City thanks to their win on Eastlands.

Only Jamie Vardy has scored more goals in the English top flight than Kane this season.

And former United striker Webber believes Tottenham will win the Premier League crown ahead of Leicester and Arsenal.

Webber told Yahoo Sport: “Arsenal have a great chance of winning the title for the first time since 2004, though I actually think Spurs, who are quietly going about their business, will win it if they can keep Harry Kane fit.”

Tottenham host Swansea City in their next Premier League game on Sunday 28 February before Spurs make the trip to bitter rivals Arsenal for a title showdown in the north London derby at The Emirates on Saturday 5 March.
