Spurs have won their last five Premier League games following victories over Sunderland, Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Watford and Manchester City.

Tottenham’s winning run has lifted the Lilywhites into second place and a mere two points behind leaders Leicester City.

Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday, former Arsenal striker Wright explained why Pochettino’s men are one of his favourites for the Premier League crown.

“When they started, no-one expected them to be like this,” Wright told BT Sport.

“Tottenham, with their youth and experience and the way they’ve kicked on, Tottenham are easily amongst the favourites to win it.

“If they didn’t get in the top four, it would be a bad season.”

Tottenham have lost to Newcastle United and Leicester at White Hart Lane in the Premier League this season.

Spurs will make the trip to London rivals West Ham United in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
