Jan Vertonghen is a little late to the party.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender has a little extra time on his hands given the centre-half’s recent knee injury.

Vertonghen sat in the White Hart Lane stands with captain Hugo Lloris on Sunday as Tottenham suffered a surprise 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fifth round.

The Belgium international isn’t expected to feature against Fiorentina in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie after a 1-1 draw with Florence last week.

And Vertonghen opted to give popular Netflix show Making A Murder a go on Monday night, which seemingly didn’t prove to be the most-relaxed viewing for the Spurs defender.

Vertonghen suffered a serious knee injury during Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League in January.
