Spurs travel to Carrow Road in fine form and in fourth place in the table, just five points behind leaders Leicester City heading into the final 15 games of the season.
The Lilywhites have been touted as potential challengers for the title this season following their consistent form, with Mauricio Pochettino’s main concern remaining securing a top-four finish with his side.
However, former Liverpool man Lawrenson is predicting an upset at Carrow Road and is backing the home side to win 2-1 against the north Londoners.
Lawrenson told BBC Sport: “Norwich clearly have to improve on their defensive showing in their 5-4 defeat by Liverpool. I sometimes talk about teams leaking goals, but that was more of a torrent.
“But they look much better going forward with Steven Naismith in the team and I think he will show again why he is an excellent signing.
“Tottenham are a very efficient team but they will seriously miss the injured Jan Vertonghen at centre-back, so I am going to go for an upset here.”
Spurs, who finished fifth in the league under Pochettino last season, booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a convincing 4-1 win at Colchester on Saturday lunchtime.
The Lilywhites then host Watford at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
