Memphis Depay looked like he was keeping himself in good spirits despite Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

The Dutchman was a late substitute as the Red Devils slumped to a disappointing defeat by the Black Cats to further dent their hopes of securing a top-four finish this season.

Depay celebrated his 22nd birthday on Saturday and United’s loss to Sam Allardyce’s men did not prevent the Netherlands international from partying after the game.

The winger has struggled to make an impact at United since arriving at Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window.

He has only managed to score two goals in 20 Premier League games so far this season and has found himself on the bench in recent weeks.
