Mesut Ozil has challenged Arsenal to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Southampton at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Gunners head into the game on the back of their FA Cup victory over Burnley at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they booked their place in the fifth round of the competition.

Ozil’s last appearance for Arsenal came in their disappointing 1-0 defeat by Chelsea last month in front of their home fans at Emirates Stadium.

That result left Arsene Wenger’s men in third place in the table and three points off top spot heading into the final 15 games of the season.

And Ozil, who is expected to return to the starting line-up after being rested against Burnley, is looking forward to the clash against the Saints.

The German posted the picture above of himself in training with the Gunners on Instagram and wrote: “Tomorrow matchday! Our target? Return to winning ways in the @premierleague! #YaGunnersYa #WeAreReady #Emirates #AFCvSFC #BeTheDifference #ace16”
