Michael Owen is tipping Arsenal to edge to a narrow 2-1 victory at Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners head into this weekend’s Premier League clash looking to return to winning ways in the top flight after the disappointment of their goalless draw with Southampton at Emirates Stadium in midweek.

Arsenal have been in stuttering form in recent weeks and Tuesday’s draw means that Arsene Wenger’s men have failed to score in their last three Premier League games.

The north London side will be desperate to return to winning ways against Bournemouth on Sunday lunchtime and former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping the north London side to claim victory.

Writing in his column for Colossus Bets, Owen said: “Arsenal are in danger of letting the season pass them by yet again and the fact that they haven’t scored in their last three league games tells a story.

“And, for all that I rate Olivier Giroud, they do lack a deadly finisher in the shape of a Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane or a Sergio Aguero.

“Bournemouth don’t have the best home record but they beat Man Utd 2-1 there in December and took another big step to safety with a 2-1 win at struggling Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.

“I have to favour Arsenal here, but only just, and I take the Gunners to win 2-1. I’m not overly-confident, though.”

Tuesday’s draw allowed Arsenal’s bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur to leapfrog them in the Premier League table and move up to third place, leaving Wenger’s side in fourth due to their inferior goal difference.
