Michael Owen is expecting Chelsea to secure a 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues head into Sunday’s clash looking to return to winning ways after they were held to a goalless draw by Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night.

United, meanwhile, produced a much-improved performance as they beat Stoke City 3-0 at Old Trafford in front of their home fans.

Chelsea have shown signs of improvement since Guus Hiddink was appointed as interim boss until the end of the season following Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December.

The west London side are unbeaten in their last 10 games and will be keen to beat the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge as they bid to climb the table.

And former Manchester United striker Owen is tipping the Blues to claim victory over the Red Devils in Sunday’s clash in west London.

Writing in his blog for Colossus Bets, Owen said: “I think they [United] will be [out of the title race] come Sunday evening, as Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 10 Games, among those results being a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

“I’ll plump for an improving Chelsea side to win this 2-0, and no doubt the press will be on Van Gaal’s back again if they do.”
