Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to continue their good recent form by beating Watford at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites are being touted as potential contenders for the title after they moved up to third place in the top flight table with a 3-0 win at Norwich City on Tuesday night.

Spurs leapfrogged their north London rivals Arsenal into third spot and now sit just five points behind leaders Leicester heading into the final 14 games of the season.

Former Manchester United and England striker Owen has been impressed by the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli’s displays for Spurs this season and is backing the Lilywhites to claim a comfortable win at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Spurs leap-frogged North London rivals Arsenal with a comprehensive 3-0 defeat of Norwich midweek, with teenager Dele Alli subsequently cut to 2/5 (from 5/4) to follow in the footsteps of team-mate Harry Kane to be named the PFA Young Player of the Year after a string of eye-catching performances.

“Both players will be instrumental to Spurs’ chances of silverware this season, not to mention England’s chances during this summer’s European championships, and should guide them to victory over Watford at White Hart Lane.”
