Michael Owen has taken to social media to hail one of the best Premier League title races he can remember after Arsenal and Tottenham both underlined their status as genuine challengers on Sunday.

Arsenal moved to within two points of leaders Leicester City as they came from behind to beat the 10-man Foxes 2-1 at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs then leapfrogged their bitter local rivals up into second place with an impressive 2-1 victory at Manchester City to continue their impressive form.

And Owen was clearly impressed by what he saw from both north London clubs after their respective wins on Sunday.

The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker tweeted: “Not a bad day for North London. This is building into the best title race for a long time.”
