Michael Owen is hoping that Leicester City win the Premier League title this season ahead of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City.

The Foxes have been the surprise package of the season and are currently two points clear at the top of the table heading into the final 12 games of the campaign.

Leicester had their lead at the top of the table cut down to two points at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently the favourites to lift the top-flight trophy in May with most bookmakers following their win over Claudio Ranieri’s men.

Tottenham, meanwhile, underlined their own title credentials with an impressive 2-1 win at Manchester City at the weekend.

However, Owen is crossing his fingers that Leicester are able to upset the odds and win the title this season.

Writing in his blog for Colossus Bets, Owen said: “Just how far would Barcelona be clear in the table if they played over here. Twenty points?!

“The title is obviously still up for grabs for the four teams at the top of the table.

“I hope Leicester go on and win it – although you sense that they would all be playing for a very distant second if Barcelona plied their trade over here, week-in and week-out.”
