Ozil has been in fine form for the north London side so far this term and has set up 17 goals for his team-mates in the Premier League to help Arsenal up to third place in the table.
The German playmaker has set up half of Giroud’s goals this season, while the French striker has returned the favour only once so far this term.
And after learning about those numbers, Giroud has promised to try to set Ozil up more often in the coming months.
Giroud told Arsenal’s website: “Maybe I have to give him more assists then.
“But it’s his job in the team to try to link the game and connect the team. He is our playmaker and his football vision on the pitch is amazing.
“I try to make good movements and he always passes the ball to the right place at the right time. He’s a fantastic ‘assist man’ so I’m pleased to have him on our side.”
Both Giroud and Ozil will be hoping to feature when Arsenal host Hull City in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Gunners are bidding to lift the trophy for the third straight season.
