Marcos Rojo is refusing to let his latest spell on the sidelines get him down as he closes in on a return for Manchester United.

The Argentina defender has been out after suffering a dislocated shoulder and requiring surgery to fix the problem.

However, the centre-half is now believed to be closing in on a return to action and the defender kept his spirits high on Sunday as he spent Valentine’s Day with his wife Eugenia Lusardo and the couple’s young daughter.

Rojo posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Sunday night and wrote: “Feliz día de san Valentín /happy Valentine’s Day”

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s disappointing 2-1 loss to Sunderland, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal revealed that both Rojo and Antonio Valencia are making good progress in their respective recoveries from injury.
