Toby Alderweireld enjoyed a well-earned day off on Monday after helping Tottenham move up to second place in the Premier League table at the weekend.

The defender played the full 90 minutes as Spurs beat Watford 1-0 thanks to Kieran Trippier’s goal at White Hart Lane as the north London side underlined their status as genuine contenders for the Premier League title.

Tottenham now have a few days off before turning their attentions to their crunch Premier League clash with Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

And Spurs defender Alderweireld unwound with some of his friends by taking part in a paint-balling session.

The defender posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Monday afternoon and wrote:

Alderweireld has been a consistent performer for Spurs so far this season and has been a regular in the Lilywhites’ first-team.
