Raheem Sterling and David Silva trained with their Manchester City team-mates ahead of Sunday’s League Cup final at Wembley.

The Citizens made the long journey home from Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday morning after the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side secured an emphatic 3-1 first-leg win over Dynamo Kyiv thanks to goals from Sergio Aguero, Silva and Yaya Toure on Wednesday night.

Their Champions League win ended a run of three successive defeats following losses to rivals Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Liverpool were 4-1 winners against the Citizens at the Etiahd Stadium earlier this season after Eliaquim Mangala’s own goal and efforts from Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Martin Skrtel.

However, City appeared in a relaxed mood as Pellegrini put his players through their paces at training on Friday.
