Piers Morgan has asked Mesut Ozil to reconsider his goal celebration after the playmaker helped to inspire Arsenal to a 2-0 victory at Bournemouth on Sunday.

The 27-year-old drilled home from close range to put Arsene Wenger’s men ahead at the Vitality Stadium, and was involved in the build-up as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netted the Gunners’ second shortly after.

Ozil wheeled away in celebration and made an ‘M’ gesture with his hand as a tribute to his young niece Mira, while sucking his thumb.

Ozil tweeted on Sunday afternoon:

And Morgan swiftly replied:

Ozil and his Arsenal team-mates are now gearing up for Sunday’s crunch top-of-the-table clash with Leicester City at Emirates Stadium.
