Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Harry Kane will miss Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Fiorentina due to a broken nose.

The Spurs manager revealed that the 22-year-old was forced to undergo surgery on the issue on Wednesday ahead of Thursday night’s game against Fiorentina.

Pochettino went on to confirm Kane should feature against Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday.

“Harry will be available for Sunday – we expect and we hope he’s available,” Pochettino added.

“Today he wasn’t here because he saw the specialist about his nose.

“On medical advice, it’s impossible for Harry to play tomorrow. In the last few minutes against Crystal Palace he played with a broken nose. Today we need to fix the problem – it’s impossible for him to play tomorrow but he’s available for Sunday.”

Tottenham secured a 1-1 draw in Florence after Nacer Chadli scored from the penalty spot following a foul on full-back Ben Davies.

While Kane’s absence is a blow for Tottenham, Pochettino had good news for the north London side after confirming that Hugo Lloris and Erik Lamela are in contention for a starting spot at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.

Pochettino added that Mouda Dembele and Tom Carroll will also be unavailable for the Europa League clash.

Spurs are unbeaten in eight European home games (W6 D2) since a 3-1 loss to SL Benfica in the 2013/14 Europa League round of 16.

Fiorentina are unbeaten away from home in Europe this season (W2 D1), scoring eight goals in those three contests.
