Ray Parlour says he has been most impressed with Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielders this season.

Newly-fledged England international Dele Alli has been one of the north London side’s standout players so far this season.

Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen have also impressed for Pochettino, whilst Erik Lamela has produced some of his best form since moving to White Hart Lane.

Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour says he is impressed with the competition for places in the Tottenham midfielder.

“The midfield is where they’ve been brilliant,” Parlour told BT Sport.

“The competition for places: Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Bentaleb and Mason.

“Bentaleb and Mason aren’t getting anywhere near the team.”

Alli has scored seven goals and has made three assists in 24 Premier League games in his first season in the English top flight following his £5m summer move from League One side MK Dons.
