Roberto Firmino has taken to social media to congratulate Liverpool on their impressive 6-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

The Brazilian played 74 minutes at Villa Park as Jurgen Klopp’s men returned to winning ways in style and heaped further misery on the struggling Villains.

Daniel Sturridge put Liverpool ahead, before James Milner’s free-kick crept in to make it 2-0.

Goals from Emre Can, Divock Origi and Nathaniel Clyne made it 5-0, before Kolo Toure headed in a sixth to add further gloss to the scoreline.

Firmino was clearly thrilled to play a part in the victory and used his personal Instagram account to pay tribute to his team-mates after the win.

The Brazilian shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “well done boys”
