Tim Sherwood has hailed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen as a “fantastic finisher”.

The Denmark international scored Tottenham’s winner in a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

Eriksen, who turned 24 on Sunday, has scored a credible five goals in 21 Premier League games for the north London side so far this season.

Sherwood managed the former Ajax playmaker during his brief stint in charge of the Lilywhites in the 2013/14 campaign.

And the former Aston Villa and Spurs manager Sherwood described the Danish star as a lethal finjsher following his winner at The Etihad.

“This guy [Eriksen] is cold,” Sherwood told BBC Sport.

“He is a fantastic finisher in front of goal. He isn’t fazed one iota.”

According to Fantasy Football game Oulala, Eriksen has created more chances than Mesut Ozil, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez in 2016.

Eriksen has also scored more Premier League goals than his Arsenal, Manchester City and Leicester City rivals.
