Louis van Gaal says Marcos Rojo could feature in Manchester United’s Europa League clash against Midtjylland on Thursday night.

The Argentina international has been sidelined since November’s goalless draw with PSV Eindhoven after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

The former Sporting Lisbon defender has only made five Premier League appearances in an injury-hit campaign so far.

However, Van Gaal revealed that Rojo could play up to 20 minutes against the Danish champions at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

But the United manager added that first-choice goalkeeper David De Gea is still sidelined.

Antonio Valencia trained with his United team-mates at Carrington training ground on Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s game.

However, Van Gaal revealed that Valencia’s participation was part of the Ecuador international’s rehabilitation process.

Adnan Januzaj won’t feature against Midtjylland after representing Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League earlier this season.

United suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to FC Midtjylland in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 tie last week.
