The Brazil international has been one of Liverpool’s standout performers in 2016 after initially making a subdued start to his Reds career.
Firmino became Liverpool’s third most-expensive signing of all-time last summer after the 24-year-old playmaker completed a £29m move to the Reds from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
The South American has scored six goals and has made six assists in 23 Premier League appearances so far this season.
However, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that Firmino can transfer his Premier League form to the Europa League ahead of Thursday night’s clash.
The South American was unable to find the net in his first game in Germany since his big-money to Liverpool in the summer.
The Reds played out a goalless draw in the first leg of their last-32 tie at Augsburg Arena.
