Anthony Martial has revealed that Louis van Gaal has been strict with the young striker at Manchester United and says he laughs when the manager yells at him because he knows it is for his own good.

The 20-year-old forward has been one of the Red Devils’ standout performers this season since arriving at the club from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

Martial has been a regular fixture in Van Gaal’s first team this season, scoring seven goals and making three assists in 24 Premier League games for the Red Devils. He also netted three times in Europe for the Red Devils.

Martial, who is currently on international duty with France, has revealed that Van Gaal has been strict with him since his arrival at the club.

However, the young striker knows that the manager’s approach will help him to improve.

Speaking in an interview with RTL, Martial said: “He yells at me. It makes me laugh because I know it’s for my own good.”
