Arsenal are keeping tabs on Napoli midfielder Jorginho, according to the Brazilian’s agent.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for the Serie A title contenders so far this season, making four assists in 26 Serie A appearances.

Jorginho has become a first-team regular for the Naples club after he moved to Napoli from Hellas Verona in the January transfer window in 2014.

Speaking to Italian radio station Kiss Kiss, the Brazilian midfielder’s agent Joao Santos confirmed that Arsenal and Real Madrid were monitoring the Napoli star during Sunday’s 1-0 win against Palermo.

“Interest from Arsenal? It’s true. After the game against Palermo, compliments arrived from Real Madrid as well,” Santos told Kiss Kiss.

Only compliments, nothing more. But it’s pleasing to receive expressions of respect from one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

For the future, we’ll wait for the end of the season. Jorginho wants to win the Scudetto with Napoli, he’s enthusiastic about these last nine finals. I want to reiterate that his priority is Napoli.

The 24-year-old scored 11 times in 89 games for Verona before he moved to Napoli in 2014.

The South American was part of Rafael Benitez’s Napoli side that won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in 2014.
