Arsene Wenger has brushed off Thierry Henry’s recent comments about Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s crunch north London derby clash at Tottenham.

The former Arsenal striker wrote in his column The Sun claiming that he had never seen Gunners fans so angry as they were during the 2-1 loss to Swansea City at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Wenger is currently preparing his Arsenal side for their showdown with Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

And the Frenchman insisted that he was paying no attention to Henry’s comments in the build-up to the north London derby.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday morning, Wenger said: “Look, Thierry Henry has his opinions.

“He has not found the measurement of the fans’ angriness, of 60,000 people, straight away because he sits in the best seats of the stadium.”
