The Blues head into the game on the back of their 2-1 win at Norwich in midweek as the west London club secured the three points to move up into the top half of the table for the first time since August.
Chelsea have been in much improved form since Guus Hiddink was appointed as interim boss until the end of the season back in December.
They are unbeaten in the league and have won their last three top-flight games on the bounce to move up to 10th place in the table.
And former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Owen is expecting to see Chelsea continue their improved form by beating Stoke this weekend.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Chelsea must be looking at events at the top of the table and thinking just what might have been!
“The Blues have won all seven Premier League games between the sides at the Bridge and I expect them to make it eight.
“No manager in the history of the Premier League has gone unbeaten in his first 12 games in charge of a club but Guus Hiddink will make it an unbeaten dozen if, as I expect, his side avoid defeat at the hands of the Potters.”
Chelsea take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday night.
